Biography
Dr. Hartley earned her B.S. in Biology at University of Washington and her Ph.D. in Zoology at Indiana University. She has been working at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ since 1990. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, and bird-watching.

Courses Taught
Teaching: Her favorite courses are Animal Physiology (BIOL 3880), Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy (BIOL 3250), Biology III: Physiology and Development (BIOL 1630 and BIOL 1631) and Taking Flight: Avian Biology (UCOR 1800). Research Interests: Dr. Hartley and her research students are studying bushtits on the SU campus, specifically the birds' foraging sites, nesting sites, and vocalizations.
